RINK IS CLOSED 🚫⛸️
Winsloe Lions Memorial Rink
The rink is now closed to skaters as the remaining ice melts. While some ice may still be present, changing weather conditions can create unsafe areas, so we ask everyone to stay off until the City of Charlottetown removes the blockades.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this season possible—our dedicated Lions Club members who kept the rink shoveled, the public who helped keep it tidy, and the city staff who flooded and maintained it all winter. Your efforts made this space a great place for the community!
And of course, a big cheers to everyone who laced up their skates and enjoyed the rink! This was our first full season, and it was amazing to see so many people out making memories. We can’t wait to welcome you back for spring and summer activities like ball hockey. See you soon!
The Winsloe Lions Memorial Rink is a multi-purpose space for winter and summer activities. Construction of the rink started in July 2023, and it officially opened on January 7, 2024, in memory of past Winsloe Lions Club members who served the community.
In winter, the rink becomes a beautiful ice skating area for residents to skate and play hockey, with daily ice maintenance for safety and a small heated dressing room on site to keep you warm as you lace up your skates. In summer, it shifts to support ball hockey and other sports.
Open daily from 8 AM to 11 PM, the rink is funded by the North Shore Chase the Ace lottery. This project not only offers recreation but also promotes community spirit and remembrance in Winsloe.
