12 Months of Giving
We loved giving back during our 12 Days of Giving so much that we decided to keep it going all year! Each month in 2025, the Winsloe Lions Club will find a new way to support our community.
March
March is all about supporting women in sports!
As part of our 12 Months of Giving, this month we’re thrilled to support the brand-new UPEI/Holland College Women’s Flag Football Club with a donation to help them get turf time, equipment, and cover other expenses as they build their program from the ground up!
We love seeing new opportunities for women in sports, and we can’t wait to watch this team grow! Go check them out, and if you’re a UPEI or HC student, see how you can get involved!
February
February is Heart Month, and we’re keeping the love (and generosity) flowing!
As part of our 12 Months of Giving, this month we’re proud to support the Heart & Stroke Foundation with a $1,000 donation—helping fund life-saving research, prevention, and support programs.
Today, we had the honor of presenting a cheque to Luke from the Heart & Stroke Foundation, knowing that every dollar will make a real difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
January
For January, we kicked things off by recognizing young leaders! We presented Good Citizen Awards at West Royalty Elementary School, honoring one student from each class in every grade for their kindness and leadership.
12 Days of Giving
This past holiday season, the Winsloe Lions Club proudly celebrated the spirit of generosity with our "12 Days of Giving" initiative. Over 12 days, we donated over $140,000 to make a meaningful impact across our community. Contributions were made to organizations that help others year-round, as well as to the three largest hospitals serving Prince Edward Island: the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Prince County Hospital, and the IWK Health Centre. Together, we brought hope, joy, and support to countless individuals and families. Thank you to everyone who made this incredible initiative possible!

$20,000 to IWK Children’s Hospital
For our final day, we turned to you, our amazing community, to help decide where this donation should go. After reading your comments, shares, and thoughtful input, we couldn’t pick just one. So, we decided to spread the love and donate $20,000 each to the Prince County Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the IWK Children’s Hospital!
